The Kindergarten Class News

Hello Everyone! What a wonderful week.

On Monday we practiced printing the letter i and made beautiful spiderweb art. The sun was shining for us as we walked to Pebble Beach. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Tuesday we practiced writing our names using many colours. The kids are all working hard to become used to using their lowercase letters when writing names. We also practiced our counting skills and went to Music class.

On Wednesday we talked about what it means to be thankful, and then wrote in our journals. We also signed out new books from the library. Please send the books back next week if you are done with them. Later we collected, sorted and graphed different coloured leaves!

Thursday we went on a counting hunt around the room! It was a lot of fun. We also made turkey hats and went to music class to name a fe things!

The kids are enjoying sharing their special items from home on their show and tell day. Next week they are encouraged to bring something that begins with the letter ‘Bb’. Please try to stick to your day so we have time to hear from each child. Thanks! Here is the list again; it will be the same every week:

Monday or Friday: Ana, Arlo, Desmia and Ella Mae

Tuesdays: Eva, Gia and Josey

Wednesdays: Lia, Lula and Mateo

Thursdays: Rory, Rosemary, Stella and Will

As there will be school on Friday, I thought it would be fun to have a pajama day! No need to pick out clothes for school, come in your PJ’s!

A big thank you goes out to Megan, Ana’s mom, who has volunteered to be our Class Rep. Thanks, Megan!

Please remember to fill out the criminal record check (if you haven’t already) if you are thinking about volunteering your time in class or on fieldtrips. To access the online request go to: https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/. Access Code: DNW8SBGDPQ Thank you!
