November 26th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Greetings Everyone.
Another week flies by.
On Monday the class worked on their printing, made beautiful tree inspired art using watercolour pencils and black sharpies and played cooperatively in the gym.
Tuesday, we worked on including ‘juicy’ words in story telling in our oral language groups. Later Quinten joined us, and we did some drumming. How nice! The kids went to music and we also enjoyed some time outside in the forest. Tuesday was photo re-take day.
On Wednesday the class wrote about what they would do if they were the king/queen of Kindergarten in their journals and went to the library. We also worked on making 10 in math and had a lovely afternoon in the forest. It was the first time the entire class played together in one big game, wonderful to see.
Thursday was another busy day. We made ‘snow-people’ names (so cute!), and everyone did a great job following the instructions. During centres, the kids all played together well, and we worked on our math skills. Later, they went up to music class and then helped do a class cleanup.
**REMINDER**
Please drop off your donations of lightly used toys/household items etc. to the office by Tuesday if you haven’t already done so. There’s always a shortage of ‘dad’ items if you have anything you think a dad might like.
Next week is ‘Ii’ week in Show and Tell. If your child has an item beginning with the “Ii’ sound they would like to bring we welcome it.
Important dates to remember:
November 3rd is an early dismissal day for parent-teacher meetings.
December 8 Re-gift Fest “shop".
December 18 Winter Break begins.
