The Kindergarten Class News
Hi Everyone, we had a very fun couple of weeks!
So much gets packed into this last term of school. We moved on from ducks to insects and have been studying butterflies. We have a tank full of chrysalids that are busy transforming into butterflies. We also continue to learn about healthy eating and what the different food groups do to help your body.
We had a blast visiting the fire hall and the fab lab! Everyone was well behaved and seemed to enjoy the big day out. Stay tuned for another permission slip coming home next week for a trip to the Royal BC Museum and IMAX on June 18th!
The family seasonal traditions projects turned out wonderfully. They are displayed in the hallway if you come through the school. Thanks for your help with this.
We have been doing nature art outside, and the kids are enjoying making colours out of plants, drawing what they hear and finding shadows! These abstract creations are turning out beautifully.
Last week was fun day and out class photos! The kids in grades K-3 enjoyed fun day! They rotated through different stations like water relays, face painting, an obstacle course and so on. Everyone had a blast! Thanks to all of the parents who came to help out.
Our UFLI lessons continue to go well, and I am so pleased with the reading and writing progress that everyone is making.
Next week is the school play! All bird wings are needed by Monday.
