Newsletter #15

December 19th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News

Hello Everyone!
Here is our last newsletter before the break!

On Monday the class had their dress rehearsal for the Christmas concert, practiced printing and made Christmas-light pattern art.

Tuesday was full of anticipation. We played a math game involving numbers that are 1 less and 1 more than a specific number, we wrote about what makes us happy in our journals and we visited the bog! The bog now has a lot of water in it and it was irresistible for some students who decided to walk right in! That night was the Christmas Concert. The class did an amazing job singing their song and being an audience! All of our hard work paid off and they were wonderful. We were all impressed with the number of families who made it out to watch. Thank you!

Wednesday was a busy one! It was Pyjama day and we played game involving beginning sounds in words. We also enjoyed a Christmas ‘Read In’ (the kids all signed up to hear different stories in a multi-age grouping). Later Mrs. Lamirand showed the class “Grinch” movie and looked at all the ways math is in the story.

On Thursday we worked on winter counting, had our Whole School Meeting and went to Music. We also had a special treat of the short film, “Frosty the Snowman”. In the afternoon, the class enjoyed centres and outside time.

Important dates to remember:
January 6 School re-opens

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday and we will see you next year!

Warmly,
Ara
