December 5th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News

Hello Everyone!
Our weeks now seem to be packed full of special events and activities. A busy and fun time of year for all!

On Monday the class worked in our journals and rehearsed our song for the Christmas Concert. The kids are all getting excited to perform for all of you. We also had buddied up with the grade 4/5 class for centres! The kids all enjoyed getting to know each other.

Tuesday we practiced our printing and had our Oral Language Groups. We are now working on categories. Later we all enjoyed making winter wraths. Thanks to Mana, Melanie and Brad for coming in to help! The wreaths were all beautiful.

Wednesday the kids worked on reading words with the short vowel a sound and then took a trip to the Christmas tree farm! We walked over with our big buddies and all enjoyed exploring the farm and working together to choose a tree for the school. Later we decorated the tree and you can enjoy it when you come to the front office. Later the kids had math and then yoga. A full day!

On Thursday we went to our Whole School Meeting where Athena, Melissa and Reverie showed their Christmas tree math craft. We also had music and learned more about our senses in the outdoor classroom.

Pizza order forms were sent home yesterday. Order forms/$ are due back on Monday.

Next week is ‘Kk’ week in Show and Tell.

Please remember to drop off your gently used donations for the Re-Gift fest by Monday.

Important dates to remember:
December 9 Pizza orders due
December 10 Re-Gift fest
December 17 Christmas Concert
December 19 Pizza Day
December 20 Winter Break begins

I hope you enjoy your weekend!
