Newsletter #14

 December 17th Edition of

The Kindergarten Class News

Hello Everyone!

Here is the last newsletter before the break!

On Monday the class worked on printing the lowercase letter ‘x’, made pinecone ornaments and learned the Word of the Week (he). Later, we enjoyed time in the forest.

Tuesday, we practiced our math skills through a dice activity, and wrote about what we want to do over the Winter Break. The kids went to Music class in the afternoon.

Wednesday was out first Pizza Day! Everyone was very excited about this. We also played a math game with dominos and has a special holiday treat of a show. Later we visited the bog and played in the forest. The library is closed for the break and will be back open in the new year.

On Thursday we searched for words in a word search activity, enjoyed a presentation from Mr. Lightfoot’s class (outside) and had our last buddy reading session with Mrs. K’s class. Later the class went to Music and we had a special treat from Ms. Mullan, who came baring candy cane gifts! The kids helped clean up the class and we also searched for missing sand toys in the forest. What great helpers!

Important dates to remember:

January 4 School re-opens.

Just a reminder that I like to re-use the art folders if you can send them back. I hope you enjoy looking through some of the work we do at school.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday, even if it will be on the quiet side, and we will see you next year!

Warmly,

Ara Van Riel
