December 6th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News

Hello Everyone!
Our weeks now seem to be packed full of special events and activities. A busy and fun time of year for all!

On Monday the class worked on printing and started learning about underhand throwing in the gym. We also started a unit on Penguins and rehearsed our song for the Christmas Concert. The kids are all getting excited to perform for all of you.

Tuesday was Re-Giftfest and the kids all selected gifts for their immediate family members. We also practiced counting and talked about shapes in a math craft. Later we touched on the elements of a story in the outdoor classroom.

Wednesday the kids worked on numbers 1-20 in a festive project, wrote about their favourite winter activities and made Santa’s with Mrs. Freeman. Later we learned a traditional Cost Salish game from Quentin in the outdoor classroom.

On Thursday we went to our Whole School Meeting where Marrella and Elijah showed their Christmas tree math craft. We also had music and made snow-people names. Thursday was our final Oral Language groups of the term and we worked on story narratives.

Pizza order forms were sent home today. If your child’s form somehow escaped from the planner bag, please let me know and I can send a new one.

Next week is ‘Hh’ week in Show and Tell.

Important dates to remember:
December 18 Christmas Concert (Arrive at 6pm in the classroom. Concert starts at 6:30pm)
December 17 Pizza orders due
