November 24th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Greetings Everyone. Another week goes by! Here is a bit about our week:
On Monday we worked on the letter ‘a’ in printing and played letter Bingo. We also went to music class and played “Deer Ears” in the forest (focusing in on the sense of hearing.
Tuesday, we continued working on our numbers and then had fun learning about different life cycles in our Oral Language groups. Later, the kids went to music and, like always, went to the forest.
On Wednesday we wrote about how to be a good friend in our journals. We are still focusing on adding details to our pictures when we work in our journals. Later we had our Whole School Meeting and Levi and Reilynn presented their sleepy bear art. Most of the kids took home a new book from the library.
Thursday was a warm and sunny day. We finished up our hibernation unit and learned a bit about animals that migrate. The kids always look forward to “free-choice Thursday” in the gym and later we welcomed our big buddy class in to read with us! It was a lovely experience for all. After music class, we went outside and explored the sense of taste by trying some of the kale in the garden.
Our class will be performing the song, “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” in the winter production on “The Snow Queen”. Please practice singing this song with your child as often as possible!
Next week is ‘Hh’ week in Show and Tell. If your child has an item beginning with the “Hh’ sound, they would like to bring we welcome it.
