June 16th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Hi everyone, only one more week to go!
On Monday we started off the day doing reading assessments. I’m so proud of all the progress the kids have made! Later we worked on a little gift for someone special and then went out to the garden to water and harvest.
Tuesday, we became real scientists’ and started a butterfly observation journal. Later had a lot of fun in centres and went to the library for art. We continued working in our nature art journals outside, focusing on drawing what we feel.
On Wednesday I was away but the class wrote beautiful butterfly poems, went to Whole School Meeting and outside to nature class.
Thursday was a big day! We had a wonderful day learning about the forest and beach ecosystems at Ruckle Park. It cleared up just in time and the weather was perfect.
Important Dates to Remember:
June 21 Year End Whole School Picnic at Drummond Park and National Indigenous Day celebration
June 23 Last Day of Kindergarten/Kindergarten graduation celebration (2pm…you are invited!)

Have a nice weekend.
