May 4th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Hello All,
Here is our weekly update. The chicks continued to be a highlight of every day.
On Monday we worked on the lowercase letter v in printing. We also had fun creating stories in our story workshop session. In the afternoon, we joined up with our big buddies and had fun designing and building free-standing towers in the forest. Everyone worked well together.
Tuesday, we started learning about how to properly measure things using a baseline and non-standard measuring tools. We also learned about the word “I” in writing and practiced using it in a sentence. In science, we have now started learning about insects.
On Wednesday we finished up our story workshop. Reilynn and Celeste showed 2 of our chicks at the Whole School Meeting. We had fun playing parachute games outside in the sun and went to the library. We also learned about how to identify an insect and the names of the body parts.
Thursday was the Spring Showcase! The class enjoyed watching and participating in a variety of ways. We were all so proud of Journey and Nina for bravely opening up the show! We also received our Painted Lady caterpillars today and will study them as they grow and transform into butterflies. What a fun way to end the week!
