June 6th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Hi Everyone, here are the highlights from our busy week!
On Monday we continued learning about our mental health. Ask your child to explain how they feel on a scale of 1-5. We also made more butterfly art, went to Music class, and went to the forest.
Tuesday, we started learning about financial literacy by starting out with the concept of balance, value, and equality. Later we wrote about how we help our family community and went to the library. All library books should have been returned by now. Our 10 chicks continue to be a source of great entertainment.
On Wednesday we continued learning about financial literacy, focusing on how objects have value and trading. We went to the gym and had our Whole School Meeting. Later the class went to nature studies and then practiced reading. We had a fire drill, and our class made a video to help the new Kindergarten students learn what to do in a fire drill. What great leaders!
On Thursday was a FUN DAY. We started the day out with free choice in the gym, learned more about mental health. See the worksheet that went home in the planner bag. After lunch all the children were put in multi-age groups and rotated through the Fun Day stations. Thanks Jen (Sia’s mom) for helping me face paint! The day was followed by the PAC BBQ and Magic Show. Wonderful!
We are down to the final weeks of school for the year. Please keep track of the upcoming events.
