May 12th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Hello Everyone, what a beautiful week. The mix of rain and sun is sure making our forest lush!
On Monday we worked on editing/improving our writing. We also did a math/writing activity inspired by “The Grouchy Ladybug” and went to music class.
Tuesday we our school and class photos taken! It was also our last session of dance and our last session of our Oral Language groups for the year. Later the class went to the library and went out to the forest for nature art.
On Wednesday we practiced “getting started on our own” in writing. The kids have shown a lot of growth! We also had fun in the gym, went to the Whole School Meeting and nature class. After some quiet reading time, we went on a bug hunt in the forest!
Thursday was a fun day. We had a visit from Jess Dance residency and each class learned and preformed a dance. How fun! We also read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, by Eric Carle, and did a related numeracy/literacy activity. Mr. Macqueen’s class invited us up to do some buddy reading and it was nice to see the kids read to each other.
