November 7th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Hello once again!
Here are the highlights from our week!
Monday we practiced printing the lowercase ‘d’. We also worked on throwing and catching in the gym and started learning about hibernation. Later the class went to the library to sign out books and we experimented with rolling different objects down a ramp.
On Tuesday I was away at a union meeting but the children talked about different ways people communicate (words, sign language, body language, writing, drawing etc.). They wrote and drew about communicating in their journals. In the forest the kids searched for shapes and used tally marks to record them.
Wednesday we read the book “The Gruffalo” and went on a Gruffalo reading hunt. Later we enjoyed the Remembrance Day ceremony (the children made poppies to decorate the space).
On Thursday I had to be away again, this time to take part in a session of Changing Results for Young Children or CR4YC. The kids worked on their numbers in math, continued learning about hibernating animals and went to Music.
