November 18th Edition of
The Kindergarten Class News
Greetings Everyone. What an eventful week we had!
Monday was a day of such heavy rain and flooding, we spent most of it indoors. The kids were flexible and upbeat, even through the power outage and change in schedule. Through all of this, we managed to practice our printing (e), made sleepy bear art, complete with a caption and went to Music class.
On Tuesday, the kids continued working with wordless picture books to tell a story in our Oral Language Groups. Later, we focused on recognizing higher or lower numbers in a card game, had ANOTHER power outage and went to the library. We were happy to be able to spend more time outside and explored the very flooded paths in our forest.
Wednesday, we continued learning about numbers in our card games, wrote about how we are nice to others in journals (inspired by The Rainbow Fish) and then made our own rainbow fish art. With finished our day off with buddy reading and outside play.
On Thursday we had a fire drill, everyone did a great job being flexible and going with the flow. We also practiced writing our names using different colours of the rainbow. Later the kids went for nature studies with Ms. Cameron and then practiced reading.
Next week is ‘Hh’ week for Show and Tell.
