January
11th Edition of
The K/1 Class
News
Welcome
back Everyone!
We hope you
all had a good holiday and are ready for a great new term.
On Monday the students were very
excited to be back at school. They were bursting with stories about their
winter break. We did printing practice, visited the library, and wrote in our
journals. In the afternoon we went outside and learned how to identify Douglas
Fir cones.
Tuesday Ms.
Freeman was in for Mrs. Van Riel. The class worked in their journals, started
back up with the Oral Language groups and went to the outdoor classroom.
On Wednesday
we started working on ball skills in the gym, made little books about a
snowman, worked on our counting and visited the bog. It is very full now!
On Thursday
the class made snow people names, had Music and Whole School Meeting. Jude and
Ava read their snowman books for the school, well done! We also welcomed
Quentin and Johanna in to talk about the creation of the new school mural. Each
class will be helping create a panel for this art project. The new mural will
replace the big sun that has been deemed unsafe as it is starting to fall
apart. We are all excited to be a part of something that will hopefully be a
part of Fulford School for many years to come.
We continue
to encourage the children to bring in any spare change to donate to Change for
Community every Thursday.
