November
2nd Edition of
The K/1 Class
News
Hello
once again!
We had a spooktacular
week!
On Monday Ms. Klare, our student
teacher, began teaching. She taught us how to make blob monsters. Scholastic
book orders were sent home. If you would like to place a secret Holiday order
please e-mail klundgren@gmail.com and
Kaz will wrap it before sending it home. We also spent time in the forest and
did a camouflage activity.
Tuesday
was a day full of excitement and anticipation. We worked on Halloween letter
matching, enjoyed the costume parade and learned more about story telling
through wordless picture books. The afternoon was our class party. We all had a
blast and everyone enjoyed the shared snack. Thanks to the parents who
contributed, what a treat!
On
Wednesday everyone was understandably a little tired after the festivities.
However, we still enjoyed the day. The K’s worked on their number sense through
a hands on math game while the 1’s worked on addition through a domino game. As
we were one of two classes at the school all day, we teamed up with Ms.
Kerrigan’s class for some buddy reading and a short video about animal babies.
Thursday Ms. Klare led the class in a fun activity about rhyming and we
had our Whole School Meeting. The class continues to do a fabulous job of being
an audience and Eli, Lizzy and Emma presented this week. The kids went to Music
class and Ms. Klare took us on a nature walk to the ‘bog’ in the afternoon.
We have had many kids forgetting when their show
and tell day is so here is the list again. This day is the same each week for
your child.
