Newsletter #14

 December 14th Edition of

The K/1 Class News

Hi Everyone!

It was another busy week! One more week to go until the break and it’s a busy one!

This week was Ms. Cheryl’s last week with us until February. It has been such a treat having her learn with us!

We joined up with the Elf teacher, Lynn, and the Elf kiddos to make salt ornaments which was a lot of fun.

We also had the grand opening of the new playground! Wow! It is pretty amazing.

The class has been busy rehearsing for Annie and are getting used to “performing”. Please practice the song this weekend if you can. Our class is to wear a special outfit of choice accessorized by winter items (toques, mittens, scarves, sweaters etc.). We are meant to be walking in the cold Winter streets of Ganges, but I think big jackets will be too hot. Please have kids in the classroom around 5:30pm before the evening show.

Next week is our final week of school before the break! Please check the dates below to see what will be happening.

Important Dates to Remember:

Wednesday, Dec. 20 Matinee of Annie at 1pm (meant for grandparents and those with babies who may not make the later show.) Evening show of Annie is at 6pm! Please drop of your child with me in the classroom no later than 5:45pm. Also, if you plan on leaving the play early (it may be late for your little one) please connect with me so I know your child has gone.

Thursday, Dec. 21 Last day of school before Winter Break begins. PJ or Ugly Christmas sweater day plus our class sock party (more info to come home on Monday )

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

 December 7th Edition of

The K/1 Class News

Hello Everyone!

It was a busy week! Along with our regular routines, we enjoyed decorating the school Christmas tree, decorated gingerbread cookies, got to tour the grade 2-3 class biome diorama display, and shopped at the Re-Gift Fest store! It was a good lesson on thinking of others and resisting the temptation to look for oneself!

The next couple of weeks will also be full of extra fun and festive spirit.

If you know that your child will be starting the holiday off early, please let me know so I can give them their X-mas gift early.

Our class has been practicing our song for Annie and we will be performing in 2 shows. There will be an early show (dress rehearsal) on December 20th at 1pm in the gym for those who can’t make the later event. Kids are asked to be dropped off with me in the classroom before the evening show (time TBA).

Next week is K for S&T.
